Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz has won the award for the Best Act Africa/India at the MTV EMAs.
The
award show held last night at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago, near
Milan, Italy. The singer was pictured holding his award as he posed for a
photograph.
The Tanzania star was up against Nigeria’s Davido and Yemi Alade, as well as South African rapper AKA and Ivorian performer DJ Arafat for the title of best act on the continent.
And the Tanzanian artist went one better and made the African continent proud when he was pronounced winner of Worldwide Act: Africa/India – beating Indian star Priyanka Chopra to be crowned the top artist on two continents.
